Out with the old, in with the new. Congratulations Mayor-elect Ramos-Herbert!
I am thrilled to congratulate Yadira Ramos-Herbert on her victory in yesterday’s mayoral election. A person of exceptional character, integrity, and intellect — and a history-maker — Yadira will be an outstanding mayor for all of New Rochelle. On a personal note, it gives me special pleasure to hand the baton to a friend and colleague for whom I have the greatest admiration. Congratulations also to the entire Democratic ticket, which won a clean sweep of every contested race in New Rochelle, preserving a 6-1 majority on the City Council.
