BBQ fans rejoice! Smokehouse Tailgate Grill is back and better than ever, just re-opened in a new location within the Rockwell on North Avenue, across the street from its previous site. The space is wonderful — high ceilings throughout and a glass wall that opens to the sidewalk making for a fun, lively indoor-outdoor experience.
My family and I arrived for a recent dinner with hearty appetites, determined to sample as much as possible. We started with tailgate wings and brisket empanadas, then shared the mixed grill of chicken, brisket, and ribs, with mac & cheese and a kale caesar on the side. All smoky, juicy, spicy, and wonderful, especially washed down with a couple of beers from local breweries. We left very, very happy and very, very full.
