Here is the latest official public health update from New Rochelle, just sent citywide via robo-call:
This is Mayor Noam Bramson, with an update for April 7.
As we approach Passover and Easter, our thoughts naturally turn to spending time with family and friends, but please remember that New York State has prohibited all non-essential gatherings of any size, including social and holiday gatherings at home. It’s hard, because we all want to be together with our loved ones, but these restrictions are essential to beating the virus, so let’s all do our part to overcome this challenge, stay in touch from afar, and save lives.
To report a violation of distancing requirements, please call the State’s Task Force at 1-833-789-0470. Restrictions will be enforced.
Last Friday evening, thousands of New Rochelleans took a minute to “Clap Because We Care,” in support of our health care and emergency service providers. Let’s keep doing this every single Friday at 7:00pm, until the crisis is over, showing that New Rochelle is strong, resilient, and united.
Thank you for listening. There’s always more information at newrochelleny.com/coronavirus.
