Another ground-breaking yesterday morning, as New Rochelle’s downtown revitalization plans roll forward. “The Huguenot” will feature sixty luxury apartments, seven of them affordable, and ground-floor retail in a six-story structure, close to the western intersection of Huguenot and Main Streets. The project also includes some especially interesting elements, such as a community art gallery, a rooftop dog run, and an automated parking garage (a first in New Rochelle.) There’s more in this press release.
With several other major projects scheduled to break ground later this year, the pace of progress in New Rochelle’s downtown is accelerating. You can track all the approved projects by viewing New Rochelle’s official development map.
