Mikey Dubb’s celebrated its grand opening this week, bringing deliciousness to New Rochelle in the form of frozen custard and italian ices. According to founder Michael Weissman (aka Mikey Dubb), frozen custard has less fat content than traditional ice cream, but its dense structure and the inclusion of egg yolk gives the custard a special firm/creamy mouth feel. Instantly addictive. I had to make a second visit on the day of the grand opening to bring Jeremy for a sample (and maybe another taste for myself — purely for research and reporting purposes, of course.)
Mikey Dubb’s is located in the Wykagyl Shopping Center on North Avenue, next to Starbucks.
