Cutting the ribbon at the refurbished Feeney Park playground.

New Rochelle is delighted to open three new or enhanced playgrounds this summer — at Feeney Park, Lincoln Park, and Flowers Park.  I had the privilege of cutting the ribbon at Feeney last Friday and was nearly run over by excited kids making a mad dash to the equipment.  That’s the kind of deliriously happy moment that really makes my job wonderful.

Parks and playgrounds are important to the health, character, and quality of life of our community (and every community,) and I am proud that New Rochelle’s ten-year capital budget prioritizes park investments.  Thank you to our Parks & Rec staff for taking the lead on these great improvements.
