Here we go again. Yet another major storm is headed our way. I just sent the following city-wide message. Happy Spring(?)
This is the City of New Rochelle. Yet another major storm is heading our way, with the heaviest snowfall, along with high winds, expected from late morning to about 10:00pm tomorrow.
Wherever possible, please move cars off-street to assist with snow removal. Metered parking will be free at the Transit Center and New Roc garages beginning 6:00pm today through 6:00pm Thursday.
Tomorrow’s commingled recycling collection will occur as scheduled. Please be sure all materials are placed curbside, not in the street, and secured in containers so as not to blow around.
Avoid unnecessary travel during the storm, and always stay clear of downed power lines.
If you lose power, contact Con Edison at 1-800-75-CONED or online at www.coned.com.
Report downed trees to the New Rochelle Police Desk at 914-654-2300.
After the storm, please clear any fire hydrants near your property. And when digging out cars, please do not shovel snow back into the road.
Additional bulletins will follow as needed. And for more information, please visit www.newrochelleny.com.
This has been Mayor Noam Bramson. Thank you for listening.
