Shelley Mayer
Congratulations to Shelley Mayer, who just won the Democratic nomination for New York State Senate in the district previously represented by County Executive George Latimer (including about half of New Rochelle.)
Shelley currently represents Yonkers in the State Assembly, but her positive reputation extends far beyond her home city. Among colleagues throughout our region, Shelley has earned universal respect for her integrity, intelligence, work ethic, and principled progressive values.
I will enthusiastically support Shelley in the upcoming special election (the date of which must still be set by the Governor,) and then look forward to this outstanding public servant joining New Rochelle’s State delegation.
