Mayor Noam Bramson with the class officers at Isaac Young Middle School.

Yesterday, I cleared my schedule to focus exclusively on issues surrounding recent incidents of student violence . . . with one exception: I took a long-planned visit from the class officers at Isaac Young Middle School.

We talked about leadership and service, courage, fear, and determination.  It seemed, in fact, exactly the right day to be reminded that there are so many exceptional young people in our schools, who give us good reason for pride.

We have a profound responsibility to do right by these youngsters, and we will.

Hope to see you at the community forum on Tuesday night, 7:00pm at the High School.
