The Regional Plan Association (RPA) has released a new report, highlighting the critical importance of transit-served suburbs in meeting the housing, economic, and affordability needs of the New York metropolitan area.  Take a look.

RPA’s recommendations are fully consistent with New Rochelle’s ambitious downtown development framework.  In fact, if you look at the full report, New Rochelle is profiled as a case study of “Downtown Development Done Right” on page 19.  We’re on the right track, literally and figuratively.

I am proud that New Rochelle is taking the lead and offering a positive example with regional significance.  Success here will benefit our own residents and contribute to the vitality of New York as a whole.
