Jeremy and I took the day off yesterday and decided to walk the entire (almost) length of Broadway in Manhattan. We started at around 200th Street by Fort Tryon Park and — about 12 miles later — finished up along the Canyon of Heroes at Bowling Green. A really interesting way to see the City. You can follow our progress in these photos . . .

Starting off, across the street from Fort Tryon Park.

The George Washington Bridge in the background.

At 161st Street in Washington Heights. This is where my family lived before moving to New Rochelle.

At the entrance to Columbia.

By the Ansonia on the Upper West Side. Babe Ruth lived here!

The entrance to Central Park on Columbus Circle.

Dad near Times Square (just to prove I was actually on this walk, too.)

Lunch on 26th Street. Poke bowls at Maui Onion. Mmm.

Across from NY City Hall. Getting a little (make that a lot) tired now.

The Oculus and One World Trade Center in the background.

The End! Bowling Green looking north to the Canyon of Heroes. We took the subway back!
