A couple of weeks ago, the CBO revealed the disastrous consequences of the House-approved American Health Care Act: 23 million people losing health insurance and many more losing essential benefits or paying much higher costs.

The action has now moved to the Senate, where it is hoped good sense will prevail and this wrong-headed legislation will be rejected.

This letter from the Cities Thrive coalition, a bipartisan group of mayors of which I am proud to be a part, illustrates the stakes for health care generally and mental health care in particular.
