I am trying not to adopt a bunker mentality of news-avoidance, but when today’s Times includes this depressing (but spot-on) editorial about the GOP health care bill, and this alarming article about President Trump’s climate agenda, it is hard to stave off a sense of despair.  Still, I urge you to read both pieces.

Has there ever been an administration bent on doing so much catastrophic harm on so many fronts in so short a time?   When this President eventually shuffles (or is thrown) off the stage, the clean-up job will be immense.  In the meantime, we have a dispiriting, but vitally important, obligation to limit the damage and to hold Mr. Trump’s enablers strictly accountable for their complicity.
