This looks like an interesting event for baseball fans and for folks interested in youth sports generally.

On March 28th, The Journal News and USA Today will present a panel discussion about pitch count regulations, the strain on pitchers’ arms, and injury prevention.

The discussion will be held in the Whitney Auditorium at New Rochelle High School from 7:30pm to 9:00pm.  It’ll be led by New Rochelle’s own Vincent Mercogliano and will feature, among others, former Mets pitching coach Rick Peterson and NRHS teacher and coach Darren Gurney.

Tickets are free, but pre-registration is encouraged to ensure seating.  For more information visit lohud.com/pitchcountpanel or contact Vincent Mercogliano at 914-424-6509 or email at vmercoglia@lohud.com.

USA Today will be broadcasting the panel live via Facebook, so it should get a lot of attention.
