The New Rochelle team prepares for the Polar Plunge.
Icy water up to my mid-section, cold sand clinging to my feet, goose pimples covering my arms, teeth chattering in the frigid air. That’s a short description of my physical condition during today’s Polar Plunge. And here’s the thing: by comparison, it was the best feeling I’ve had this whole miserable, depressing week.

The City Manager and I are not likely to appear in a calendar any time soon.
Big(ly) thanks to everyone who sponsored me or sponsored other members of our team. The event raised about $100,000 for the Special Olympics, which is a great cause.
I’ll take an hour-long hot shower tonight.
