Here’s the deal: you give generously to a good cause, and, in exchange, I will make a fool of myself.
On November 12th, I will participate in the Westchester Polar Plunge, joining a few hundred other hearty (or judgment-impaired) souls to take a quick swim in the ice-cold water of Long Island Sound. Everything benefits the Special Olympics.
This is the kind of thing that sounds fun when you sign up, then looks increasingly unpleasant as the date approaches, until eventually, you’re standing there freezing in your bathing suit and wondering how the heck you got yourself into this crazy mess.
Anyhow, it is all to benefit a really worthwhile organization, and the whole point is to raise money. So I would be grateful if you’d consider sponsoring me. You can click here on my personal page to make a pledge.
And, of course, feel free to show up at Glen Island Park on November 12th to watch me make a fool of myself in person!
Thanks very much.
