Catie and I went out for a fun dinner last night at The Rooster on Centre Avenue with our friends Terri and Alvin Bowles.

The menu is Latin-themed.  I had an excellent ceviche, refreshing on a hot evening, while also helping Catie with her amply-sized paella.  It was shrimp creole for Terri and Alvin.

Catie’s heaping plate of paella. I helped.

The generous margaritas at the beginning and shot glasses of coquito at the end were happy bookends to the meal.

The Rooster opened a couple of months ago in a nice, sleek space — all soothing blues and yellows — just a few storefronts south of Main Street.
