New Rochelle is partnering with local businesses, civic groups, and institutions to keep our roadways looking their best.
Through the “Adopt a Street” program, interested organizations can volunteer to organize clean-ups and sponsor beautification measures on streets within (or surrounding) commercial areas. Participants will be recognized with signage along their adopted roads.
This is not a substitute, of course, for the City’s basic maintenance responsibilities, but with 176 miles of roads to oversee, it can’t hurt to have a few extra hands!
Program guidelines and an application form can be obtained on the City website or by calling the Bureau of Streets and Highways at (914) 235-4029.
And don’t forget there are lots of other ways to volunteer time and energy in our community. Check out this link for more.
