New Rochelle’s amazing history is now even easier and more fun to explore, thanks to City Historian Barbara Davis and the Downtown Business Improvement District, which teamed up to create the History Hop.
The History Hop is a self-guided tour of 33 downtown locations, each marked with a blue 12″ x 9″ sign that includes a QR code with links to property descriptions, archival photos, audio clips, and much more.
You can read all about the History Hop on the BID’s website or download a map of locations. To enjoy the History Hop, you’ll need a QR reader, which is free online at any app store.
It’s really neat, a perfect family activity, and a great way to see our downtown in a different light.
