New Rochelle’s two farmers markets return this week.
The terrific downtown market kicks off this Saturday, June 4th and will be open for business every Saturday from 9am to 2pm through October 29th. So come over to Ruby Dee Park at Library Green to enjoy fresh and cured meats, cheeses, poultry, and straight-from-the-farm produce. In addition to the great food, you can also enjoy crafts, games, an outdoor reading room, and much more. Here’s more information about the downtown market from the Business Improvement District.
On Friday, June 3rd, the Down to Earth market comes back to North Avenue, in front of New Rochelle High School, continuing Fridays through the summer and fall. Here’s a list of the tasty produce, baked goods, and cheese vendors who will be there. (I’m especially partial to the pickles.)
