Rendering of 587 Main
In case you missed them, the Journal News recently ran a couple of articles highlighting aspects of the City’s ongoing development efforts.
First, a piece last Friday described the performing arts space that will be located within RDRXR’s first major project at 587 Main Street (the site of the former Loew’s theater.)
Then, over the weekend, the paper profiled the City’s local hiring policy, part of a comprehensive package of community benefits aimed at providing meaningful economic opportunities for our residents.
Many planners are beginning to cite New Rochelle’s downtown initiative as a model for the region. It’s exciting . . . although now we need to make sure the vision gets implemented!
