If you agree that the arts help define the character of a community, and that the arts can play an important role in the future of downtown New Rochelle, then come to New Rochelle City Hall on Thursday, November 19th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm for a public discussion about a potential arts and cultural district.
You’ll hear from a group called CivicMoxie that specializes in arts and cultural planning. They have been holding focus groups in New Rochelle since September and will share their preliminary suggestions.
Then you’ll have a chance to share ideas, participate in breakout sessions, view maps and diagrams, and talk about next steps. Artists, artisans, and other creative residents or business people are especially encouraged to attend.
