I had to leave before the trick-or-treating got under way in earnest, in order to attend the annual dinner of the Calabria Mutual Aid Society, where I will be dressed up as . . . a politician.
I expect to see huge mounds of candy spilled out on our living room floor when I get home later tonight. Maybe tomorrow, I’ll dress up as a dentist.
