Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and Mayor Noam Bramson lead discussion in New Rochelle.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand was in New Rochelle today to speak with community leaders about new legislation that would, for the first time, make gun trafficking a federal crime.  I was pleased to introduce the Senator and participate in the round table discussion.

Nearly three-quarters of the firearms recovered from crimes in New York originate in other states, so curbing the flow of illegal guns is a national challenge that requires a national response.  Senator Gillibrand’s proposal would put the federal government on the side of law enforcement and families who are calling for action on this priority.
