Mayor Noam Bramson in orange for Gun Violence Awareness Month

In June, New York State observes Gun Violence Awareness Month.  It’s a way to encourage conversation about community safety, while demonstrating that the great majority of New Yorkers (and Americans) fully back common sense solutions, like those we discussed in New Rochelle a few weeks ago.

Today, there’s a really simple way to show our support by wearing orange, the official color of Gun Violence Awareness Month.  Turns out that I don’t have any orange in my professional wardrobe, but Catie did snap a photo of me in an orange t-shirt before I left for work this morning – hopefully that counts.
