Back in April, New Rochelle accepted the My Brother’s Keeper challenge – a nationwide effort to help more young people overcome barriers and seize positive opportunities, with a multidisciplinary strategy that runs from early childhood all the way to career development.
Since then, organizers in our community have been working to bring together service providers, educators, families, and residents in order to shape an action plan specific to New Rochelle.
The next big step is a Local Action Summit that’s open to the whole city. It will take place at New Rochelle High School on Thursday, June 11th, from 5:30pm to 9:00pm. More details here.
For both moral and practical reasons, we all have a stake in getting this right, so please consider attending the summit and sharing your perspective.
