Last week, I welcomed several local artists to New Rochelle City Hall. I had a special reason to extend an invitation; each of these artists had loaned one of their works to my office.
Because many people visit the mayor’s office for meetings — leaders from other communities, developers and investors, and, of course, residents of our own city — the artwork is a wonderful way to display New Rochelle’s talent.
A new collection is rotated in every 18 to 24 months, under the invaluable direction of the New Rochelle Art Association.
My sincere thanks to each of the artists for their creativity and generosity.
