On Sunday, June 8th at 9:00am, I’ll join runners from around the region for the “North Avenue Mile.” The race kicks off at Paine Avenue and ends at City Hall.
Being a terrible runner, I expect to make a fool of myself, but that’s a small price to pay to support a great annual tradition, with proceeds from the race benefiting HOPE Community Services.
Here is more information, including online registration in the right column. (Note that you must register to participate.) You can also learn more about New Ro Runners, the organization that is sponsoring the North Avenue Mile.
So whether you want to see North Avenue from a whole new perspective, get a little exercise, test your running ability against neighbors, or have a good laugh at my expense when I collapse along the route, join us on June 8th.
