Yesterday, Governor Cuomo spoke to a group of about 300 business leaders at a forum sponsored by the Westchester County Association. (Pretty good sized crowd on 48 hours notice!) Along with a few other elected officials, I attended the event and had a chance to exchange a few words with the Governor.
State budgets encompass thousands of individual choices, line items, and priorities, so there is always room for disagreement on specifics, but the big picture presented by the Governor is impressive. And I appreciate his focus on shared services as a means of controlling local and regional costs, something that I stressed in my recent State of the City address.
The County Association website provides a lot more detail.
