New Rochelle is blessed with an exceptional historical legacy that dates back more than three centuries. Some of that legacy is still present in the modern day in the form of buildings and sites with special significance. To help celebrate and raise awareness about these historic assets, the City confers annual Heritage Awards.
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2014 Heritage Awards. If you own (or are aware of) a property that deserves recognition, please consider submitting an application.
Here is the application form, with much more information about eligibility and award categories.
Here is the City’s press release.
And you can read about past Heritage Award winners in this wonderful summary from City Historian Barbara Davis.
