It’s been a tough season, and tomorrow is likely to be a complete mess. I just sent the following recorded message to New Rochelle residents:
This is the City of New Rochelle with an important service advisory. Here we go again. Another winter storm is predicted to bring about 10 inches of snow beginning at midnight tonight and continuing throughout tomorrow. Garbage and trash pickup has been cancelled for both Thursday and Friday, so that all crews can focus on snow removal. Because Monday is a holiday, the next trash pickup will be Tuesday in the north end and Wednesday in the south end. To facilitate plowing, please move cars off street if possible, and when shoveling out, please don’t throw snow back into the road. You can help the Fire Department by clearing the fire hydrants near your home or business. Finally, we urge you to avoid unnecessary travel during the storm. This has been Mayor Noam Bramson. Thank you for listening.
