I must have driven by King Kone on Route 100 in Somers about a million times (one of my brothers lives nearby.)  But I’d never stopped and had a vague – and mistaken – impression that only ice cream was available.

Yesterday, en route from Somers to southern Westchester and in need of a quick grab-and-go lunch, I finally pulled over, and I’m glad I did!  The lobster club was a good sandwich, made better with a side of fries.  The place itself is lots of fun – a real throwback, with a 1950s roadside vibe and only outdoor seating.  Lots of parents there with kids in tow.
