Gun shows used to be banned at Westchester County Facilities. But, in one of his first acts as County Executive in 2010, Rob Astorino brought them back to Westchester.

Gun shows are notoriously lax in supporting existing gun safety laws. Earlier this year, the operator chosen by the Astorino administration to run gun shows in White Plains was party to a landmark legal settlement with Attorney General Eric Schneiderman after undercover investigators determined that people who could not pass a background check were still able to purchase AR-15 assault rifles and other weapons at gun shows across New York State.

Noam Bramson has pledged to reinstate the ban on gun shows, and will work with the Board of Legislators to institute a permanent ban through legislation. Please add your name to this petition to keep gun shows out of Westchester County.

I support a permanent ban on gun shows at facilities operated by Westchester County.
