Here’s a departure from the usual campaign bulletin.
I’m always on the lookout for new places to eat. As Mayor of New Rochelle, I’m particularly proud of the many great restaurants that have opened and thrived downtown.
So when Jim Leff (the founder of Chowhound.com) invited me to join him for a mini-tour of local establishments that have caught his attention, I couldn’t say no. In three hours we hit nine joints within shouting distance of I-287. My favorite dish: the fish head soup at a tiny Ecuadorian spot in Sleepy Hollow called Chester Fried Chicken. The hot sauce on the side was just as good.
Now I’m inspired to find the best bites on the campaign trail.
Will you point me in the right direction? What’s the must-visit spot where you live?
Send me your tips, and I’ll report back when I find something I like as much as Chester’s fish heads!
Thanks,
Noam
