Following Rob Astorino’s State of the County address tonight, Noam Bramson issued the following statement:

“Instead of offering a clear plan of action to grow our economy, attract jobs, and cut waste through shared services, the County Executive presented an empty string of platitudes and distortions. Westchester has a real opportunity to shape a positive future, but we won’t get there by borrowing to balance our budget, defying our legal obligations, and neglecting economic and environmental planning.”

Bramson continued, “It is time for a forward-looking strategy to attract investment to our urban centers, plan for smart, sustainable growth, and provide real leadership for Westchester taxpayers. And we need to stand up for Westchester’s mainstream values, by supporting a woman’s right to choose, common-sense gun safety regulations, and marriage equality.”
