Come be part of a great New Rochelle tradition this Saturday, with the return of the annual Thanksgiving parade. Organized by the New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce, with assistance from our Department of Parks & Recreation and generous financial support from John & Charles Valenti, the parade will kick off at about 10:00 am at the corner of Eastchester Road and North Avenue, proceed on North Avenue to Main Street, and then continue along Main Street to Maple Avenue. There will be ample viewing opportunities along the whole route.
Just before the parade, from 8:00 am to 9:30 am, you can fuel up on a hearty pancake breakfast in the cafeteria of the new wing at New Rochelle High School. The breakfast is sponsored by the New Rochelle Fund for Educational Excellence. Principals, Board of Education Members, and school administrators will be on hand, decked out in aprons, to serve up breakfast treats. Admission is just $3 for kids and seniors, and just $5 for everyone else.
I’ll be there with Catie and the kids, and hope to see you.
