Please join me on Monday for New Rochelle’s Memorial Day events, starting with a 10:30 am ceremony at Memorial Plaza that will pay special tribute to Vietnam Veterans. A festive parade will immediately follow, running down North Avenue and Pelham Road to Hudson Park, where an afternoon picnic and live music at the bandshell will mark the unofficial start of summer.
The Memorial Day events are presented by the United Veterans Memorial & Patriotic Association and the City of New Rochelle, with financial support from Monroe College, and help and donations from many other local restaurants and community groups.
New Rochelle’s Memorial Day is a special event, and I hope to see you there.
