My Community Spotlight series aims to showcase some of the unique institutions and businesses that give New Rochelle its special personality.
I am probably not the best person to offer advice about interior design. Our furniture at home is a hodgepodge of hand-me-downs, the kids have gradually expanded the definition of playroom to encompass every room, and the overall look of things at 201 Pinebrook is one small step above a dormitory. But even a person of my very limited taste is able to appreciate the uniqueness and cool sensibility of TransFORM.
Located in an airy space at 20 Jones Street in New Rochelle’s West End, TransFORM provides soup-to-nuts interior remodelling services. First, professional designers consult with clients, then pieces are custom-fabricated within TransFORM’s on-site factory, and finally TransFORM’s installers complete the job. Everything is highly personalized. Their catalog offers some illustrative examples.
TransFORM has assumed an active role in the New Rochelle community. Their offices were among the venues for the 2010 New Rochelle ArtsFest, and artwork is constantly on display within their showrooms. It’s worth a visit, even if you are not presently in the market for home improvements.
