For its anniversary edition, the Westchester County Business Journal selected 100 people they deemed worthy of recognition for “personal success” or “contributions to the betterment of the county.” I was flattered and surprised to be included, and my mother could not have written a more generously-phrased profile. Alas, politics requires self-promotion, so with modesty uncomfortably cast aside, here is the text in full:

“Once in a while, a young man comes along in government who shows great promise because of his intelligence, grace, vision and ability to grasp the whole picture and meaning of governance. Able to express himself eloquently and yet be understood easily by his constituents, he is shepherding the city of New Rochelle to new heights.”
