In just its third year, the Paine to Pain half-marathon has grown from a gathering of 50 hardened runners to a sold-out event with 400 participants from 12 states. The Paine to Pain, which follows the outer loop of the Colonial Greenway, will begin at Thomas Paine Cottage and conclude on the New Rochelle High School Track. In between are 13.1 miles encompassing parks, nature preserves and historic neighborhoods. The Paine to Pain was just named one of America’s “Seven Scenic Half Marathons” in this article. You can read more about the race here: painetopain.com. And volunteers are still needed to help out with race logistics. If you’d like to help, please contact Eric Turkewitz at eric@turkewitzlaw.com.
I’ll be on hand at the finish line at about 10:00am to hold the tape (which represents about the limit of my athletic ability.) Come on by to cheer on the winner.
