Federal Aid Will Rebuild Field, Improve City Park
With vital assistance from Congresswoman Nita Lowey, New Rochelle has been awarded a grant of some $1.5 million to rebuild the Skidelsky Memorial Field, located in City Park. The field sustained serious damage in the April Nor’easter storm, which qualified its reconstruction for federal disaster assistance. Skidelsky Field is used by thousands of residents, and its restoration will serve as a cornerstone for broader improvements at City Park, our most active athletic facility.
