Agreement Offers Television & Internet Choice
The City has concluded negotiations with Verizon for a franchise agreement that would make Verizon’s FiOS service, which offers high-speed internet, television, and telephone, available to New Rochelle residents. A public hearing on the franchise agreement has been scheduled for 8:00pm on August 2nd. I anticipate that the Council will vote on the franchise agreement in either August or September. Cablevision and its Optimum service will continue to be available in New Rochelle, providing our residents with competitive options.
