Comprehensive Review Will Facilitate Maintenance & Planting
The City Council voted unanimously this week to allocate $148,000 from our tree fund to comprehensively evaluate the condition of New Rochelle’s publicly-owned trees, principally those along our streets. This first-ever inventory, integrated into the City’s GIS system, will facilitate better maintenance of our tree stock, and will also help us to better organize the planting of new trees. I was pleased to support this valuable step towards enhancing our urban forestry efforts.
