New Standards Will Improve Design & Protect Neighborhoods

The City Council has unanimously adopted legislation (discussed in more detail in a previous e-bulletin) to require architectural peer review for major developments and subdivisions, and to better regulate town-homes, with new standards for construction, lot sizes, orientation to roads, and consistency with surrounding architecture. These new laws are very positive steps for our community and will help ensure that future development in New Rochelle is of high-quality design and respectful of its surroundings. Special credit goes to the citizen panel that worked with our staff to craft the legislation.
