Quality schools and libraries are essential to our community, so please remember to vote in the school and library budget and trustee elections on Tuesday, May 17th. In case you are interested, let me offer a couple of recommendations:
Yes on Budgets
In my judgment, the spending plans being presented to the voters are reasonable and necessary to maintain critical educational and library services. Accordingly, I will vote yes on both budgets and also on the school bond initiative, which funds a variety of needed capital improvements.
George Walters for Library Trustee
George Walters is an Adjunct Professor at La Guardia Community College, where he teaches lessons combining social studies and communications. He holds a masters degree from the New School in Urban Planning and Policy Analysis. Finally, George has an exemplary record of volunteer involvement in the community. George Walters is by far the better choice in the election for Library Trustee and has my strong support.
