A variety of interesting activities and events are available to local residents during the summer:
Kayak the Sound: Guided kayak tours of Long Island Sound launch from Five Islands Park every Saturday and Sunday. Equipment and instruction are provided. To sign up or learn more, please call 1-888-321-4837 or log on to www.kayakhudson.com.
Jazz on Library Green: The Business Improvement District is once again sponsoring Thursday evening jazz concerts just outside the New Rochelle Public Library. The remaining dates at July 22nd and July 29th, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. In case of rain, the concerts will take place in the Library theater.
Outdoor Movies: The BID is also sponsoring free outdoor movies on Library Green, suitable for the whole family. The "Wizard of Oz" is showing on August 5th, and "Cheaper by the Dozen" is scheduled for August 12th. Both movies start at dusk.
