Beginning on June 25th, fresh produce, cheeses, and baked goods straight from local farmers will be available every Friday, from 7:30am to sell-out (usually about 4:00pm) on Memorial Highway by Library Green. Live music and cooking demonstrations are also planned. While youre dropping by the Farmers Market, you might also take a short walk to observe some of the recent downtown improvements. Davenport Lofts at the former Bloomingdales Building is now nearly completed and already partially occupied a great example of adaptive reuse of an old building. Lawton Street has witnessed an influx of fine shops, cafes, and galleries. And the Bread Factory, nearby on Grove Street, offers some of the best baked goods in Westchester.
